Zambinga 12L Smart Video Feeder

I like this feeder. I like it so much, this is my third one. The first two were destroyed by raccoons who can reach up into the feeder and rip out the silicone blades that dispense the food, but through trial and error, and a few cosmetic modifications, I have made it fairly raccoon proof now.Carefully altered rabbit wire mesh keeps raccoons from reaching inside, and I use small round cat food so it doesn’t clog the mesh.Several layers of Duck Tape cover a thin piece of lauan wood placed over the manual buttons and prevents them from manually dispensing food (which one of the raccoons coming in to my feeder figured out).The strap anchoring the feeder to the deck keeps them from picking up the feeder, removing it from its post and tossing it on its side and busting it open.I’m sharing pictures of my mods so others might benefit from what I found that works against persistent raccoons.

So I got this for my big dog. I have an American pitbull. I wanted to put him on a diet plus when I leave town I wanted to make sure he was taken care of when I first got this. I thought there was no way this was gonna hold enough food I was wrong I currently left town for five days came back and it was still a quarter of the way full. The model I had purchased can actually take an SD card. It works off of SmartLife for the app. I was very skeptical, but I absolutely love this machine. I was very impressed by it so much so I brought a smaller one for my small dog. If you look at the picture it’s sitting in a baking train, I had to coat the bottom of it with Vaseline because I’m an ant problem. By the way it really does work, but I do absolutely love this machine and I would highly recommend it.

This feeder is amazing! The dog food never gets stuck, even with my dog’s schedule set to three meals a day at one cup each (about six portions). It has been very reliable, and the camera works perfectly as well. I also love that the app is completely free, so there’s no need to pay for a subscription. Definitely happy with this purchase!

This feeder is perfect! My dawgie eats Purina Dog Chow kibbles and one full tub in this feeder lasts almost exactly 3 weeks. My pitbull eats "5 portions" (1 cup) 2x daily.A bonus is the ability I see and talk to her through the camera and speaker and hear her through the microphone when I'm out of the house. It can give extra food on demand outside of the set schedule too. The set up took about 20 minutes including putting it together, adding kibbles, and registering in the app. You can disable the camera and microphone through the app so if someone breaks into your home network (which I hope never happens) they won't see or hear anything from this device. You just need to remember to disable it manually if you decide to use it to see/talk to your pet through it.It has very good value for the money, looks modern, has a loud speaker, seems pretty sturdy and easy to take apart to clean.I highly recommend it!*double thumbs up*

This has been a gamer changer! I travel frequently so not having to rely on neighbors has been helpful. The app with the camera is fabulous! I can see when the are eating- although I need a second one for the second dog but they share ok. I can add extra feedings when needed via the app and control how much they get. I have it scheduled for twice a day to automatically feed at the amount I want to give. I only wish I can tilt the camera so I can actually see how much is left in the bowl to avoid it overfilling if they haven’t eaten the previous feed. I can only view the very top of the bowl. I was also privy to an unwanted visitor that I may not have known about for a while via the camera that alerted me- as the little intruder thought the food was for him aka Mickey Mouse however, he has since been retrieved and no more evidence of mickeys family members 😅Wish it was just a little larger for more my needs but I can’t complain and will definitely purchase an additional one.

We have two outside dogs. We use the automatic dog feeders to feed them and also check on them if we are away. We connected them to our wifi, have dogs on schedule. The feeders camera is the best, we can speak to dogs and see dogs/dog area. We protected our wiring and feeder using a custom box we made and outdoor outlets. We are very happy with our feeders. It gives us peace of mind to know are dogs are covered. The feeders will notify you for every successful or not successful feed. One of my dogs doesnt eat all their food, so the feeder may not push more out if food area is blocked. It notifies me and I can watch to see what is going on. Was able to go on vacation for 4 days with husband, left dogs and they were happy and fed when we got back. Greatest tool ever, customer service is the best. Got a replacement part within a week of asking. Great buy and highly recommend. Amazing company.

Love the feeder except for one thing, how much food it holds. Ordered to feed outside cats at our second ranch. We go there every 2-4 weeks. Advertised as holding 8 liters but does not hold even half that much. Hopper is small and feeding minimal food for 3 cats it will only last 3 weeks. Need to be able to order a larger hopper and not advertise it as holding 8 liters of food. Love being able to see the cats and if any food is left in the bowl, but doesn’t tell you when it is out of food.

I do love this thing, it does what I needed it to for my Golden Retriever who was sometimes getting fed more than once because we’re a family of 6 unorganised people who all wanted to make sure she was fed 🤦🏻‍♀️ so this stops that from happening… until it does it on its own! Randomly, this thing will dispense her food twice in a row, giving her double the food. I’m not sure if it’s just a software thing that can be updated and fixed or not, but I hope so. She definitely doesn’t need extra food.

So far the feeder seems to work just fine. Ot really does not show where to insert the SD card . Before you assemble the feeder you have to remove the 4 Phillips screws that hold the black part on with the feeder paddle in it. Once its off you can see with a flash light where to insert the sd card righ beside where the control bord wires plug in. Put the black part back on tighten 4 screws and Finish assembly. After app setup format sd card and your good to go.

I purchased two of these automatic dog feeders for my two corgis, and they’ve been a fantastic addition to our routine! Setup through the app was super easy and intuitive. The built-in camera and two-way audio work surprisingly well—I can check in on my pups and even chat with them while I’m away.One thing I really appreciate is that while the app offers a paid subscription, it’s completely optional. All the basic (and most useful) features work just fine without it. The feeders even take screen captures, which has been great for figuring out which dog eats at which station. I attached the picture of it and it took me a little bit to find this setting in the beginning, but when you’re in the app and you click on the bottom right to bring up the feeding menu and schedule, all the way to the left click on messages, and there is where you can find the screen captures for any emotions detected.There is battery back up it takes 3 D batteries. My only complaint is it’s on the very bottom so if the batteries die and there’s a full hopper of food, you have to take the food out to change the batteries. Not too much of a deal killer because I don’t think the batteries are going to drain very fast. They are there just for back up for my use.Overall, these feeders are reliable, easy to use, and give me peace of mind when I’m not home. Highly recommend for multi-dog households!

I bought this feeder to feed an outdoor stray cat while we were away on vacation.  It was easy to set up and worked reliably, on-time while we were away. We tested it out for a week before we left, and its sturdiness and reliability gave me peace of mind that Heathcliff would be taken care of while we were away.  I was hesitant to download an app for a cat feeder, but I get notifications when the feeder is dispensing food and enjoy tuning in to watch (and hear 🤣) Heathcliff eating. I wish the camera was adjustable as you can’t see into the bowl to see if it is dispensing or how much food remains, but if I see Heathcliff’s face chewing, I know it must be working. There is no notification if the feeder is running low or out of food. I took away one star for these reasons. I originally bought this just for when we were not home, but it works so great (and is more timely than I), that we use it all the time now.

Saw the Yakry automatic dog food feeder and decided to give it a try for automatic feeding, scheduling and video. Unboxing the item gave all the necessary parts and instructions to put the feeder together and operate it manually and remotely. We have 2 dogs: A yellow lab and a labradoodle who normally have separate bowls for feeding, so getting them to adapt to a single feeder should be entertaining at the minimum and would the feeder perform as expected. The dog food feeder was straightforward to set up and adding it to the home network through the smart home app was easy to do. There is camera for viewing who is eating at the bowl and there are buttons on the front side of the feeder for manual feeding, camera and reset. I set schedules to dispense food at 0730 AM and 1800 PM. The feeder worked as advertised and the dogs are eating the deposited food. Couple of things to note: 1. The battery is for manually dispensing food only. The feeder needs to be plugged into a wall outlet for complete operation. 2. For two dogs that have been trained on separate bowls, you may need a separate feeder or have them work it out on who will eat first, etc. Now, we can go away for a day or two knowing that we can dispense food at will for our dogs or set timers/routines for scheduled feedings. The other bonus is that you can interact with your pet with the video and microphone. Our dogs are not use to that aspect yet since they are used to be yelled at to stay out of each other's bowl lol. Overall, the automatic food dispenser a great addition to our household giving us the freedom to leave our pets for short periods of time without worry of them missing a meal. We are also considering taking the feeder on camping or other trips due to the large capacity storage of the feeder and the added convenience it has. Overall, it was great purchase.

Really wish this company would put out a larger model that just splits into 2 bowls.Regardless, these have worked pretty well so far. I’ve had so much trouble connecting others and these I had no problem with so that is a huge plus in itself!!I set the one to sense motion thinking I would get an alert when the cats are eating but I’m getting alerts constantly!!! I even changed the settings to the least sensitivity and it’s still going off constantly. I don’t know if it’s the sound from the tv triggering it or if it’s just malfunctioning because nothing is ever anywhere near it when i get an alert. I will be sitting in the couch 15 ft away with both cats next to me and it just goes off constantly. So that feature seems to be a bust. I need to try the other one to see if it’s the same.It’s so not the sturdiest. The lid is tricky to line up and doesn’t seem very sturdy. if you have overly curious pets they could possibly get it off. Not a big deal to me.Portions & timing also seems to be off. I got the 2 pack and set them both to dispense the same amount of food at the same times throughout the day. I haven’t been able to really monitor this closely yet but one bowl is always empty and the other full. I can’t imagine the cats are only eating out of one when they are directly next to each other so something seems off about this but I can’t say for sure yet.Overall they are working as they should and were easier to set up than others I have tried. I need to find a tray to put under them because my cats are messy!

The reason I mentioned Customer Service in my headline is because I ran into trouble and I was frantic. I introduced my dog to it 1 week prior to needing it for a long day trip I was taking and all was going well until it wasn't. The day before I was leaving it stopped working. I couldn't schedule the feedings. It kept saying I had nothing saved, it said I was no longer connected. I called the customer service number in the booklet, a person actually answered (without a long list of prompts before hand). The representative was patient and helpful in trouble shooting. It turned out to be an internet problem.After I got that settled with my cable company, I called customer service back again for help to set the feeder back up again because at that point I couldn't even think straight being pressed for time in leaving and having to have the feeder set up. I was missing steps and it wasn't connecting. Again, the representative who answered was just as helpful and patient with me. We got it up and running, and when I left my dog was fed on time without any complications and it has been working with no problem ever since. I wanted to share with everyone that there is a good customer service behind this product, should you ever need it because that is important too. Now about the feeder and what I like about it. For starters, after doing some research I picked this particular feeder because of the good reviews, the price point and value (had the camera). I am using it for a 10 year old lab. A lot of the advertising and reviews mention cats, but it works well for dogs too. My dog gets 1 cup of food in the morning and 1 cup at night, so the feeder is a fine size for his portions. It took me a few tries to figure out that 7 portions was equal to his 1 cup of food. The bowl is a little small but his 1 cup of food does fit in it without spilling out ... that is if he waits for it to all come out before starting to eat, which he never does. He even looks all around it for more, moving it a little bit, but it has never knocked over. It is very sturdy. He did hit the feed button once with his head, but unless you schedule it for more than 1 portion that is all that is going to come out. It must have been a fluke because it has never happened again. It is always full and ready to go, but I do not use it if I am home, and he has never self fed himself again. I like that the bowl is stainless, easy to clean. The unit does not take up a lot of room and looks neat and clean lined up by his food container and water. I love how it has a camera, I can be alerted if there is movement, alerted that the food was successfully dispensed, and I can see him eat. Being able to have a recording of my voice on it to play when the food is released is a nice added touch, especially at the beginning when he wasn't attuned to the feeder. I don't know how long automatic feeders have been a thing, but I sure wish I knew about them when I was working a lot of overtime and poor little guy had to wait for me to come home to eat. Kudos to Yakry for having such a great product!

I like the look of the feeder and that it has a window in the front that shows hiw much food is left in the food dispenser. The app is great and the camera with night vision is amazing!.It works every time. I have three cats and I bought two feeders and it game me a peace of mind to check on my babies every night I was not at home even thought I had a person to check on my cats twice a day during the day. This is a must have if you do some travel and you don't want your cats to relate you with food or feeding time. The only thing that it could be improved in this model is some kind of message or light when the dispenser in the feeder is close to being out of food. That is why is 4 stars and no 5. Very easy to use, set up with the app and the food for my cats last about 14 days or so. I feed them 3 times a day different portions.
